Noted historian and Visiting Professor at Georgetown University, Dr. Michael Oren, has been named the Israeli Ambassador to the United States. Oren has been teaching at the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown since 2008 with the Program for Jewish Civilization. He is a prolific author. His most recent book, Power, Faith, and Fantasy: America in the Middle East, 1776 to the Present, was on the New York Times best seller list for eight weeks. In Janury of 2009, Dr. Oren gave a lecture on the Gaza crisis in Gaston Hall at Georgetown University. The full lecture can be found here.
