Breaking News: Japan wants UN Security Council to hold emergency meeting to discuss North Korean test

Reuters reports:

Japan will seek an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council after North Korea said it had successfully conducted a nuclear test on Monday, Kyodo news agency quoted a senior foriegn ministry official as saying.

Mitoji Yabunaka, Japan’s vice foreign minister, made the comment to reporters at the prime minister’s office, Kyodo said.
