Professors Catherine Lotrionte and Phillip Karber on Friday after their presentations
Day 6 was the last day of the academic presentations. We began with a talk from Professor Catherine Lotrionte about cyberwarfare. Dr. Lotrionte explored international law dealing with the use of force and then applied it to questions of cyberwar. She was followed by Professor Phillip Karber discussing the challenges of nuclear weapons. During his presentation, Dr. Karber showed a DVD showing China’s on-going nuclear program. After Dr. Karber, Professor Elizabeth Grimm concluded the academic presentations by discussing the future of the international system. Dr. Grimm engaged the students in a fascinating discussion about where they believe the international system is going and what role the United States should play.
