Georgetown International Relations Program for High School Students: Academic Program, Day 1

Dr. Elizabeth Grimm

Dr. Elizabeth Grimm

The Georgetown Summer International Relations Program for High School Students began yesterday with registration, orientation, and the first discussion session. Today, the formal academic program begins and the students engage in an exploration of international relations. The first presentation, by  yours truly, will provide an overview of the international system. It will examine the actors and structure of the international system, as well as the goals of states and methods of state interaction. This presentation will be followed by Professor Elizabeth Grimm, pictured here, discussing the instruments of foreign policy. Dr. Grimm will be followed by your truly again, discussing the nature of international law. We will be live-Tweeting the Program @SummerIR if you would like to follow along!
