Beginning on Friday evening and continuing all day Saturday, the students will participate in a crisis simulation involving Somalia. Led by Anupam Chakravarty, a Georgetown student, who is the Student Coordinator for the Program, the simulation should give the high school students an opportunity to apply what they have been learning.
I am looking to the week! If anybody has any last minute comments or suggestions, please feel free to weigh in!
And for fun– Here is a slide show that the Georgetown University students who served as Counselors put together for last-year’s program:

I participated in the program in 1998, and it was the single greatest reason that I applied and enrolled at Georgetown! It is a fabulous opportunity for young people to think about an education in international relations, and live on campus in a college setting for a week. Thanks Dr. Arend for this great program!
